Inside the Shop Leadership Conference

DAY 1 – TRAINING SESSIONS

  • TRAINER: ERIC WALKER

What does top technician performance actually look like—and how do you measure it accurately? In this session, shop leaders will learn how to evaluate technician productivity the right way by identifying the difference between efficiency and inefficiency, understanding key performance indicators, and avoiding common evaluation mistakes. Managers and foremen will leave with practical tools to better assess technician output, improve accountability, and drive stronger shop performance.

  • TRAINER: ANDREW FISCHER

The right work in the wrong hands can slow down an entire shop. In this session, managers and foremen will learn how proper work classification impacts technician productivity, shop efficiency, and overall workflow. Through real-world examples, attendees will see how misclassifying jobs affects both the front and back of house—and how assigning work based on technician skill level can improve throughput, profitability, and team performance.

  • TRAINERS: RYAN HILLENBRAND & PATRICK MURRAY

This interactive workshop puts attendees in the middle of real-world shop decision making. Participants will work in mixed front-and-back-of-house teams to analyze actual shop scenarios involving job timing, parts usage, and technician assignments. Each group will present their decisions, while facilitators challenge assumptions, encourage discussion, and guide deeper problem-solving. Attendees will leave with practical insights they can immediately apply to improve communication, workflow, and shop performance.

  • TRAINER: KEVIN ROTH

Practice making fast operational decisions under real-world shop pressure, lead by one of Shop Fix Academy’s most trusted voices.

  • CONTENT BY AARON STOKES

Close out the day with a powerful Leadership Masterclass. Gain perspective on accountability, team culture, personal growth, and what it truly means to lead at a high level. Shop leaders will leave inspired, challenged, and equipped with principles they can apply to both their businesses and their teams.

DAY 2 – TRAINING SESSIONS

  • TRAINER: LOWELL GREEN

Many shops believe they’re operating at full capacity—but the real issue is often mismanagement, not workload. In this session, managers and foremen will learn what true shop capacity actually means and how to recognize the difference between theoretical output and real-world production. Attendees will discover how to identify bottlenecks, improve workflow, and rethink the way capacity is managed to create a more productive, profitable, and efficient shop.

  • TRAINER: ANDREW FISCHER

Effective goals do more than motivate—they create alignment and drive results. In this session, managers and foremen will learn how to turn shop capacity into realistic, achievable performance goals that connect front-of-house sales with back-of-house production. Attendees will also discover how to track performance effectively, improve accountability, and avoid the common goal-setting mistakes that lead to frustration, missed targets, and poor shop performance.

  • TRAINERS: RYAN HILLENBRAND & PATRICK MURRAY

In this hands-on workshop, attendees will put concepts into action by using a shop capacity worksheet to calculate true production capacity and set realistic performance goals for their teams. Through peer discussion, group collaboration, and facilitator feedback, managers and foremen will gain practical experience building plans that improve accountability, efficiency, and overall shop performance.

  • TRAINER: NICK PEYTON

Every shop misses targets at some point—the key is how leaders respond. In this session, managers and foremen will learn how to address underperformance while maintaining accountability, protecting morale, and keeping the team focused on improvement. Through real-world examples and practical communication strategies, attendees will discover how strong leadership and clear conversations between front and back of house can turn missed goals into opportunities for growth and better performance.

  • EXPERT LEADERSHIP PANEL

Join an open and honest leadership discussion focused on the real challenges shop leaders face every day. This interactive panel will tackle topics like motivating teams, improving alignment between departments, managing front-versus-back-of-house conflict, and leading through difficult situations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical insight from experienced leaders who have faced—and overcome—the same challenges in their own shops.

When we say “hands-on”… we mean it.

Your team will not only hear the ideas, they will actively work through the same challenges they face inside the shop every day through interactive workshops, live shop scenarios, team-based exercises, and real-world decision making.
