What’s the root cause of an advisor who’s struggling or having a difficult time breaking through to their potential? So often it’s how they are defining success and how they are defining what it means to be an advisor that is building this wall in front of them. Identifying whether they see the wall or not is step 1 in overcoming the struggle. Once it’s been identified, the work can begin to correct it. How do you be who your customers need and who your team needs while not losing who you are in the process? Reconciling these three things is the key to unlocking success as an advisor. 

Listening to your own phone calls is one of the best tools to learn about your strengths and weaknesses. Every advisor should make listening to their calls a regular aspect of their career. In this session, we’ll listen to real recorded phone calls to focus on identifying positive takeaways as well as areas of improvement.

Communicating the “Why” behind the failure is an area of conversation where advisors can quickly get lost “in the weeds”.  In this talk, you will gain insight into why components fail and learn how to better explain those failures to customers. We’ll explore the common challenges advisors face when communicating issues — especially when we forget that customers don’t see what we see every day.

Get hands-on with interactive role-playing exercises designed to strengthen your communication skills. You’ll walk away with techniques you can immediately apply in the shop — including how to handle common customer rebuttals like a pro.

Don’t be afraid of data anymore! In this session, we’ll break down the myth that data is just numbers and spreadsheets. Data is really a story—one that reveals where your shop has been, where it is now, and where it can go next. You’ll learn how to read and simplify key metrics, and more importantly, what to do with them once you understand the story they’re telling. This talk will give Service Advisors the confidence to use data as a powerful tool for better decisions, stronger sales, and improved customer relationships.

Aaron Stokes - Keynote Speaker

Aaron Stokes has been in the automotive industry since 1999 and now owns 11 shops across Middle Tennessee. After nearly losing everything, he rebuilt his business with systems that drove remarkable growth. Other shop owners soon turned to him for guidance, which led to the creation of Shop Fix Academy. Today, Aaron still runs his shops while serving as founder and lead teacher, offering courses, conferences, and coaching known for being practical, simple to apply, and never full of fluff. His mission is to deliver more value than anyone else and help transform the entire industry.

Mike Difato

Mike Difato began his career in the medical field, spending 15 years in corporate sales and marketing before pursuing entrepreneurship. After running a pool service business, he entered the auto repair industry and in 2018 partnered with Eric Rutherford to grow Prestige European. Together, they scaled the business from $800K to $4M and later expanded to eight additional locations, with sales projected at $18.5M by 2024. As a Shop Fix Academy coach, Mike brings a proven track record in growth strategy, leadership, and multi-location scaling. His mission is to help shop owners think bigger, grow faster, and lead like true entrepreneurs.

Nick Peyton

Nick Peyton has built a distinguished career in the auto repair industry, known for doubling shop revenue in less than a year. Starting at 16 in his school’s auto shop program, he became an ASE Master by 19 before moving into management and developing a passion for teaching shop owners how to maximize their potential. As former Operations Director of a ten-store group, his team earned the Motor Age Top Shop award. With expertise in leadership, sales, staffing, and marketing, Nick has helped countless owners improve operations and achieve lasting growth. Today, as Director of Business Development and Training for BG Crovato, he delivers powerful, practical training that drives results.

James DeVito

James DeVito has spent 12+ years in the automotive industry, working every front-of-house role from assistant to general manager. Entering the field without a “car background,” his path to success wasn’t obvious, but the lessons learned along the way now fuel his passion for coaching. Today, he helps service advisors avoid common mistakes, build confidence, and create lasting careers grounded in growth and strong foundations.

Lowell Greene

Lowell Greene is a lifelong technician, former shop owner, and dedicated Shop Fix Academy coach with over 30 years of experience. Passionate about helping others reach their potential, he focuses on solutions rather than problems, using his knowledge and personal experience to guide shop owners in growing and succeeding both in business and in life.
