Fall PRO Conference 2026: People and Planning in Action
This fall, Shop Fix Academy PRO Members gathered in the Greater Nashville area for two days centered on People and Planning.
The conference brought together engaging sessions, in-depth breakouts, and plenty of conversations that went beyond the stage. Members had space to challenge their thinking, work through what’s next, and reconnect with the community around them.
It was focused. It was practical. And it was full of momentum.
Setting the Direction
The theme wasn’t just about creating a better plan. It was about looking at everything that determines whether that plan actually works.
Across the conference, members were challenged to think differently about their people, their systems, their decisions, and their own role in what happens next.
A strong plan only works when the right people are ready to carry it forward.
Build Next Year Before It Gets Here
Fall PRO wasn’t about waiting for January to decide what needs to change.
The general sessions challenged members to look at the people, processes, and behaviors shaping their business right now. What needs to change? What needs to become repeatable? Where does the team need clearer leadership or accountability?
The calendar changing doesn’t create better results. The work you do before it changes does.
The Leader Has to Move First
There was another side to the conversation: the owner is part of the plan.
Members looked at where they may be creating the bottleneck, what they need to let go of, and what happens when they know change is needed but continue operating the same way. Growth requires developing people, making decisions, and being willing to lead differently.
Better plans matter. But the leader has to grow with them.
More Ways to Go Deeper
Breakouts gave members a chance to zero in on the areas most relevant to their business, including:
Financial fundamentals and business growth
Building and developing stronger teams
Customer acquisition
Preparing for another location
Using AI to work more efficiently
Guest speaker Molly Mahoney expanded on that last piece, showing how owners can use AI for marketing, organization, and efficiency while still keeping the unique voice behind their business.
The goal wasn’t more information. It was finding the right ideas to put to work.
The People Around You Matter
More than five hours of the conference were intentionally set aside for Tribe Time, giving members a more intimate setting with others in their Tribe to talk through real challenges, compare notes, ask better questions, and work through what comes next.
That time reinforced something bigger than any single session: there is real value in having people around you who understand the decisions, challenges, and responsibilities that come with owning a shop
Tribe Time works because members bring something to it too. They show up, share what they’re learning, ask for help, offer perspective, and hold one another accountable.
Sometimes the conversation that moves you forward is the one happening across the table.
Leaving With Momentum
Fall PRO gave members time to step out of the day-to-day and look more closely at what they’re building and who they need to become to build it. They left with clearer priorities, practical next steps, and plans ready to put into motion.
People and Planning was the theme. What happens next is where it counts.
