A lab scope is one of the most powerful diagnostic tools in the shop, yet many technicians struggle with setup, connections, and waveform interpretation. This hands-on class helps technicians gain confidence using their lab scope by focusing on practical setup, operation, and diagnostic application.
Key Learning Outcomes
• Configure time, voltage, and trigger settings for accurate captures
• Select the proper probes, adapters, and accessories for any test
• Build test loops and harness connections efficiently
• Use trigger strategies to stabilize waveform displays
• Navigate common ATS, Pico, Snap-on, Fluke, Autel, and Bosch lab scope functions
• Apply lab scope testing to both mechanical and electrical diagnostics
This class is for technicians who want to become more proficient with lab scope setup, waveform capture, and real-world diagnostic interpretation.

Many electrical diagnostic procedures still rely on unloaded voltage tests and resistance measurements that provide limited diagnostic value. This hands-on class focuses on practical DVOM testing methods that technicians can immediately apply in the shop, using proven diagnostic strategies developed from real-world experience.
Key Learning Outcomes
• Select the correct DVOM settings, leads, and probes for any measurement
• Identify the most effective tests for sensors and actuators
• Perform loaded circuit voltage drop testing
• Diagnose failed components and circuit faults
• Interpret duty cycle, peak voltage, average voltage, and frequency measurements
• Understand DVOM limitations and avoid common testing mistakes
This class is for technicians of all experience levels looking to strengthen electrical testing skills and improve diagnostic accuracy.

Modern electrical diagnostics require more than following flow charts. This class teaches technicians how to use wiring diagrams as part of a disciplined diagnostic process, helping them quickly identify fault categories, eliminate unnecessary testing, and navigate today's increasingly complex electrical systems.
Key Learning Outcomes
• Identify circuit types, including series, parallel, and combination circuits
• Classify electrical faults such as opens, shorts, and high-resistance conditions
• Trace current paths, parallel paths, and enabling paths
• Select the most effective test locations and testing methods
• Determine the best diagnostic tool for each situation
• Reduce diagnostic time by eliminating unnecessary circuit testing
This class is for technicians and diagnosticians who want a more structured and efficient approach to electrical fault isolation and circuit analysis.
-
This class provides a deep dive into diagnosing misfires and low-cylinder-contribution concerns using a structured diagnostic process. Attendees will learn how to quickly narrow potential causes, leverage available data, and reduce unnecessary testing when diagnosing modern driveability complaints.
Key Learning Outcomes
• Differentiate between current and history misfire data and non-misfire relative contribution data
• Distinguish between Fuel Trim-related causes and secondary symptoms
• Identify compression-related faults more efficiently
• Isolate non-compression mechanical failures using a logical diagnostic process
• Analyze modern ignition primary and secondary voltage waveforms
• Build and refine a cause list using real-world diagnostic strategies
This class is for technicians diagnosing customer complaints, driveability concerns, misfires, and performance-related faults on modern vehicles.
