Doug Hillmuth

Doug Hillmuth opened his first shop with the goal of creating a trustworthy team that's proud of where they worked, and to be a leader in the auto repair industry. Along with his wife Eileen and brother Billy, Doug started Hillmuth Automotive in Columbia, MD in 1978. They added a Gaithersburg, MD location in 1986, a Clarksville, MD location in 1996, and Glenwood location in 2010. Now they are buying two of our shops' property. With many trials and tribulations, the business has grown to 38 employees. In January of 2020, they turned the businesses over to their sons Scott and Billy, and Doug become a coach for Shop Fix Academy in March 2020.
