Adam Preusser

Adam Preusser has been in the automotive industry for over 24 years, with a career built on hands-on experience, leadership, and a deep commitment to helping others succeed. In 2004, he took the leap from employee to owner, seizing the opportunity to purchase the shop where he worked. That moment launched what is now Motor Works, a thriving multi-location business based in Minnesota.

Under Adam’s leadership, Motor Works has grown to eight locations — soon to be nine — through steady expansion, team development, and a focus on operational excellence. He’s been part of Shop Fix Academy since its inception in 2017, having known Aaron Stokes since 2005. Adam began coaching in 2018, working directly with shop owners until 2021, and later transitioned to mentoring coaches within the Shop Fix community starting in 2022.

Adam’s greatest passion as a coach is helping shop owners get their time back, so they can enjoy the freedom they worked so hard to build and spend meaningful time with their families. A proud husband to Jenna and father to three young children — ages four, five, and six — Adam describes his family as the light of his life and the purpose behind everything he does. Outside of the shop, you’ll likely find him snowmobiling across the Minnesota landscape, recharging in the outdoors.
